Pioneer 90.1 FM “Weekly Arts Calendar” for 3-9-17 through 3-12-17
• Friday, March 10th – It’s Bluegrass music this Friday at Kezar Music Company in Thief River Falls. Monroe Crossing and the Woodpicks perform Friday March 10th at 7:30. Monroe Crossing recently released their fifteenth CD! The collection is entitled “Monroe Crossing Plays Classic Country” and it’s a bluegrass treatment of songs from George Jones, Hank Williams, Ray Price, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. Bluegrass with Monroe Crossing and the Woodpicks, Friday evening at 7:30 at Kezar Music Company, Thief River Falls.
• Sunday, March 12th – A free music jam session will be held at the Greenbush, MN Community Center beginning at 2:00 pm.
• Thursday, March 16th & Friday, March 17th – The Badger, MN School presents “The Twelve Worst Breakups of All Time.” Performances are at 7:00 each night and everyone is welcome!
• Saturday, March 18th – There’s a free movie showing of Disney’s “Moana” at the Roso Theater in Roseau, MN. Showtime is 2:00 pm.
• Saturday, March 18th – The Roseau Public Library presents….. Llama, Llama – part of their “Love to Read” series. The event is for children and begins at 11:00 am.
Rasslin Memories with Special Guest Dawn “Donna” Lemke 03/4/17
On this edition of Rasslin Memories, George Schire and Glen Braget are so very pleased to welcome former female professional wrestler Dawn Lemke. Dawn, or Donna, Lemke first broke into the pro wrestling in 1971 and along the way worked here, there and everywhere with the likes of Kay Noble and Vivian Vachon. Aside from her own career in the ring, Donna was , for the better part of the 1970s, the girlfriend of one “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Dawn shares her life with Dusty as well as some great stories about the boys who The Dream worked and played with in the AWA back in the early 70’s. AWA fans, you don’t want to miss this one!!!
