Mt. Zion Chruch & Roseau County Women In Military

by GlenBraget on August 27, 2013

On this edition, churches with diverse memberships are featured. Mt. Zion Church was formed in 1856 in St. Paul by the Jewish community. The Pilgrim Baptist Church also achieved new membership, consisting of freed slaves.
Also in this show: Letters of inquiry were written to locate women who had served in the military in Roseau county. After much searching, 150 women were located. In March 2010, a luncheon in their honor was given at the Roseau City Center.
