Pioneer 90.1 “Arts Calendar”
(Weekend of Thursday 4-17-14 through Sunday 4-20-14)

The Agassiz Swedish Heritage Society is sponsoring a Swedish Meatball Dinner with entertainment by the Rusty Cords on Thursday, April 24th, beginning at 5:30 in Warren, Minnesota. Reservations and more information: 745-4915.
The Vietnam War ended, but for some, the ghosts live on. The production of “Last of the Boys” opens this weekend at the Fire Hall Theater in downtown Grand Forks, a production of the Greater Grand Forks Community Theater. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, April 17th through the 19th at 7:30.
The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s “Spring Art Exhibit” is now featured at the Community Club and American Legion Hall in Middle River, Minnesota. The exhibition includes art work from regional artists in Kittson, Roseau, Marshall, Red Lake, Polk, Pennington and Norman counties – to include photography, sketches, glass-work, pottery, sculpture and paintings. The exhibit will be open until April 27th.
Current art exhibits at the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks include “Songs for Spirit Lake.”
Grand Cities Idol 2014 will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 7:30 pm at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks. The completion features regional and local performers with the audience casting their votes for the winner of the competition.
“Haydn’s Creation” will be presented by Master Chorale of East Grand Forks/Grand Forks and the University of North Dakota Music Department at Chester Fritz Auditorium at UND on Saturday, April 26th.
