LaVonne Forsberg of Thief River Falls, Minnesota has won the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s (NWMAC) “Northwest Artist of the Year” award. She has many years of experience in watercolor and oil painting, Scandinavian rosemaling and decorative glass-work. LaVonne shares her art “history” within the region and expresses her thoughts on winning the artist of the year award – which includes a cash bonus of 5-thousand dollars.
