On this edition of Minnesota Arts on the Road, Turtle River, Minnesota’s favorite son, singer songwriter Aaron Tank. The following performance was recorded live at the Floyd B. Olson Park in Thief River Falls in August 2012.
On a hot night in June 2012, with storm clouds rumbling ominously in the distance, Pioneer 90.1 set up its microphones in the Gazebo at Floyd B. Olson Park in Thief River Falls to record a live set with Phil Nusbaum and The Bluegrass Pals.
Pioneer 90.1 presents Ely, Minnesota natives Pat and Donna Surface along with the Boundary Water Boys as they present their collaborative project Remember When- Songs of the 60’s and 70’s.
Aside from the Remember When project, Pat Surface is the head of his music label, Spiritwood Music and his wife Pat is also the host of her own radio program that airs in the Ely area.
The following musical event was recorded in early June 2013 at the Gazebo at Floyd B Olson Park in Thief River Falls. Let’s fall in love again with the great music of the 1960’s and 70’s with Pat and Donna Surface helped out by the Boundary Water Boys.
On this episode of MN Arts on the Road the talented Twin Cities Indie Power Pop quartet the Sleep Study. Formed in 2011, Sleep Study have been developing a strong following and are continuing to travel near and far intent on growing their fan base.
In August of 2012 Sleep Study released their full length album debut, Nothing Can Destroy. The Following was recorded April 26, 2013 at the Empire Arts Center in Grand Forks, ND.
