On this show, we feature outstate artist PeatMoss & the Spreaders (from North Dakota) and two singer-songwriters from Ontario, Bonnie Couchie and Binaeshee Quae Councie Nabigon, along with regulars Bob Muscovitz, Nigel Egg and Rachael Kilgour. • August 16th – 20th Ox Cart Days in Crookston. Events include tractor pull, bed races, pig races, live music and dance, Torchlight Parade, Corn & Brat Feed, RibFest, airboat rides on the Red Lake Riverand more.

• August 17th – 20th Heritage Days in East Grand Forks. Events include live music, heritage exhibitions, a parade, children’s games and much more for the entire family.

• August 18th – 20th Good Old Days in Viking, MN with demonstrations on threshing and other old time work. A parade, food – including fresh lefse, an historic presentation on stage, live music from the “Woodpicks” and much more.

• August 25th – 27th Grygla, MN Centennial NW Minnesota Arts Council sponsored events are:

 Klondike Chainsaw Wood Carvings from Red Lake Falls, MN.
 Live bluegrass and gospel from the “Woodpicks” of northwest Minnesota.
 A “steamroller” from Cannon Falls, MN to help make personal “prints”, quilt and needle point demonstrations.
 A character/sketching artist.

 August 10th – 13th Moosefest in Karlstad, MN to include: a pie contest, hypnotist, Ribfest, parade, live music, mud volleyball, dueling pianos, fireworks and games for children.

 August 13th Strathcona Fall Festival in Strathcona, MN. Parade 10:30am, Dinner 11am, Musical Variety Show 12:30pm.

 August 17th Gazebo Concert Night in Roseau, MN from 6:30pm – 8pm. Music by Jordynn Johnsrud.

 August 18th Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre of Roseau presents “Pinocchio.” Curtain time is 7pm at the Roseau School Theater.

 August 12th -19th The Empire Arts Center of downtown Grand Forks presents “Heathers: The Musical.” Curtain time is 7:30 each evening.

 August 12th History Alive in the Forks, a walking tour of historic downtown Grand Forks will be held, beginning at 1 pm. The starting point of the free tour is the downtown Town Square.

 August 4th & 5th Riverfest in Thief River Falls. Family-friendly events Friday and Saturday. Live music onstage in Hartz Park Friday and Saturday to include: the Johnny Holm Band, Jensen Sisters, the Bad Campers, Kari & Billy and Confederate Railroad. There’s a car and motorcycle show, Farmer’s Market, Crazy Days and softball tournament.

 August 5th Bronsonfest. Flea Market, Kids Games, Food, Parade 2pm, Old Tyme Music, Dinner, Street Dance. —Lake Bronson, MN

 August 5th Kittson County Museum Silent Auction. 11am until 2pm at the Kittson Co History Center & Museum at Lake Bronson, MN.

 August 5th & 6th Lake of the Woods Steam and Gas Show. On display in Roosevelt, MN are antique tractors and equipment. A breakfast, parade, flea market and more family fun is planned for the event.

 August 6th Free Live Music in the Karlstad, MN Pavilion beginning at 7 pm.
