On this edition of Rasslin Memories, George Schire and Glen Braget talk with David Shoemaker, author of The Squared Circle: Life, Death, and Professional Wrestling.

THE SQUARED CIRCLE: Life, Death, and Professional Wrestling by David Shoemaker is both a history of pro wrestling and a paean to its fans. Long derided as empty-minded, these fans, as Shoemaker proves, typically have a keen intellect and a good sense of irony. They harbor a certain nostalgia for the sport – and the spectacle. THE SQUARED CIRCLE is the first investigative look at the extraordinary and absurd history of America’s greatest mythological sport – through the men and women who star in it.
