
On the edition of MN Arts on the Road, the duo known as the Ericksons. The Ericksons consist of sisters Bethany Valentini & Jenny Kapernick.
The Ericksons, who got their name from Bethany’s late husband Lee, have been playing music together since 2006. Their lives and music have taken them to India, Brooklyn, Wisconsin and eventually to their current musical homebase of the MN Twin Cities Scene.
Since 2008 the Ericksons have released three full length studio albums. Their most recent album,the Wild, was released in early 2013 to much fanfare and critical acclaim.

On this episode of MN Arts on the Road, the talented man, myth, and legend that is known as Actual Wolf.
Actual Wolf is the alias of Grand Rapids, MN’s Eric Pollard. Pollard is stranger to the Minnesota Music Scene having worked with Duluth Rockers Low and as the drummer of another Iron Range area band the Retribution Gospel Choir. Actual Wolf’s sound is little more on par with another native of the Iron Range, the ever talented Mr. Zimmerman. Find out more about this talented individual and hear in his own words all there’s to be known about the man they call Actual Wolf.

On this episode George Schire and Glen Braget welcome Memphis pro wrestling historian Mark James back to the program to talk about a book he recently put together with Jim Cornette titled “Rags, Paper and Pins–the Merchandising of Memphis Wrestling.”
Rags, Paper and Pins–the Merchandising of Memphis Wrestling details the evolution of merchandise in the Memphis wrestling area, a territory that pioneered the selling of photos, programs, magazines, records and more years before other areas.

The 4OnTheFloor are best known for each member playing a bass drum and for writing all their songs in 4/4 time, Hence the name 4OnTheFloor.
The seeds of the band were first planted back in 2009 when singer Gabriel Douglas met Guitarist James Gould In Duluth, Minnesota. From there they moved to Minneapolis, added Bassist Chris Holm and drummer Mark Larson and became the 4OnTheFloor Band. In 2011 they released their debut 4×4 and soon started earning the respect of Minnesota and Upper Midwest music fans and writers alike. Since then they have also played shows across the United States opening for such acts as Willie Nelson, Sugarland, Drive By Truckers, Steve Martin (yes that Steve Martin) as well as fellow well known Minnesota acts like Trampled by turtles, Retribution Gospel Choir and former member of the Replacements and current member of Guns N Roses Tommy Stinson. They have also had their music featured in programs like ABC’s Nashville and A & E’s Duck Dynasty. In April 2013, the band released their latest album, Spirit of Minneapolis.
4OnTheFloor has a local connection in the land of Pioneer 90.1 KSRQ. Frontman Gabe Douglas grew up in the Stephen-Arygle area of Northwestern Minnesota
