George Schire and Glen Braget welcome Tom Burke, one of the premier Pro Wrestling historians on Planet Earth to Rasslin Memories.
Old school wrestling fans gather around as two well respected pro wrestling historians get together and compare notes from their many years of following the business. George Schire and Tom Burke talk WFIA, Bull Curry, Killer Kowalski, Mark Lewin, Paul Boesch, CAC, Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Territory Days and much much more…
George Schire is back from assignment and Rasslin’ Memories is ready to roll! On this edition of the program, George and Glen welcome back to the show for his third appearance, Pro Wrestling Referee and Author James Beard. George and James discuss a wide range of topics including the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Wichita Falls, Texas, what makes a good ref and of course war stories from his long and storied career as the third man in the ring. James Beard is always a solid guest and this time around is no exception.
While George is out on major assignment, Glen Braget welcomes author John Cosper to the show to program to talk about his latest book, Louisville’s Greatest Show, the Story of the Allen Athletic Club. For 22 years, the Allen Athletic Club’s weekly wrestling show at the Columbia Gym was the place to be on Tuesday night. Promoters Heywood Allen and his successors Francis and Betty McDonogh overcame the Great Depression, the 1937 flood, a World War, and a “crooked” athletic commissioner to bring the best of the golden age of wrestling to Louisville. Join Glen and John as they go back in time to remember the architects of Louisville pro wrestling history.

George Schire is back this week from his trip to Wichita Falls, TX where he attended the 2017 Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame multi-day gathering. To help recap all the events that happened on that fine weekend is Johnny Mantell, President and member of the PWHF. Everything you want to know about the induction ceremony, the inductees for 2017, what’s inside the building and what lies ahead for 2018. Another can’t miss episodes for those who love their pro wrestling history.
Glen Braget tracks down Winnipeg radio legend Joe Aiello for a chat about his work as a pro wrestling commentator for promoter Tony Condello for his West Four Wrestling Alliance and other various promotions from the mid 1980’s through the early 2000’s including UWF, AWA, CNWA NWA and WWF. Aiello has worked alongside such legends as Nick Bockwinkel, Gene Kiniski, Bulldog Bob Brown as well as future stars like Chris Jericho, Don Callis, Lance Storm and the list goes on and on. Find out how a young radio loving, wrestling fan from Winnipeg was able to live out his dream of working in both fields. If you remember the WFWA, you will love this look back.
