On this edition of Mn Arts on the Road, we are proud to feature local Polka sensations the Cathy Erickson Band recorded live in August, 2012 at Riverfest 2012 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

For well over 35 years, Cathy Erickson has been entertaining audiences of all ages with polkas, waltzes, and more. Cathy and her band have also performed gigs all over Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North and South Dakota. They have even gigged in the Carribean.

Aside from performing with her band, Cathy has been the host of her own weekly radio variety show, which airs monday at 6p on KSRQ Pioneer 90.1FM.

On this edition of MN Arts on the Road, we present the music of Ring of Kerry Ring of Kerry, named after the beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland, is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. Ring of Kerry’s specialty is playing highly energetic and engaging stage shows, often including a troupe of fully costumed Irish dancers.

It’s a family thing on this edition of Minnesota Arts on the Road as we welcome the O’Neill Family Band from East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Consisting of Tom, his wife Jeanne and daughter Erin, the trio’s act consists of American, French-Canadian, and Celtic tunes and dances.
