• The Crookston Community Theater will present a murder mystery comedy called “Dead Giveaway” on Friday, May 29th and Saturday, May 30th at 7 p.m. each evening, in Kiehle Auditorium on the University of Minnesota – Crookston campus.

• The Greater Grand Forks Community Theater presents “The Dixie Swim Club”, at the Fire Hall Theater in downtown Grand Forks. Performances Friday, May 29th and Saturday, May 30th. Curtain time is 7:30 each evening. Information at 746-0847.

• The 1970’s band the Eagles will be performing on-stage at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks on Friday, June 5th at 7:30 pm. Information at 701-792-1420.

• Coming up in downtown Fargo – an Art and Wine walk on June the 11th.

• An event called “Water Fest 2015” is being held in St. Paul this weekend. Activities include boating, fishing, water games, and live animals, climbing walls, exhibits, music and dance.

• A tractor pull will be held this Sunday, May 31st in Waseca, MN.

• The Anoka Antique Show, Craft and Flea Market is this Saturday and Sunday in Anoka, MN….just northwest of Minneapolis.

• And the Northern Landscapes Festival is this week in Grand Marais, MN, along the shore of Lake Superior.

• The exhibition of artwork called: Micah Bloom: Codex” continues at the North Dakota Museum of Art (NDMOA). The exhibition reflects images of the 2011 flood in Minot, North Dakota. The NDMOA is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM – and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 PM and is on the UND campus in Grand Forks.

• The 8th Annual Memorial Day Pow-Wow will be held on Sunday, May 24th in Thief River Falls. More information at 681-4062.

 Parade from the Veterans Memorial to Roseau High School Gym, and a program at 10:00am in Roseau.
 Program & Dinner 11:30am in Williams, MN.

Pioneer 90.1 Arts Calendar April 16th through April 19th – 2015

• “Art See” is Friday, April 17th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Empire Arts Center – downtown Grand Forks.

• On Saturday, April 18th, the public is welcome to attend the Artist’s Unlimited “Paint Day” at the Greenbush Community Center in Greenbush, MN. Paint Day Begins at 9am.

• A program called “On the Home front During World War II” is scheduled for Monday, April 20th, beginning at 6:00pm at the Roseau City Center in Roseau, MN. The evening begins with a supper at 6:00, followed by a guest speaker and entertainment 7:00 pm. The event is sponsored by the Roseau County Historical Society.

• The Agassiz Swedish Heritage Society Annual Meeting is Thursday, April 23rd at the Warren, MN Community Center. Supper will be served at 5:30pm, with a presentation to follow.

• Northland’s Chamber Choir and Northern Jazz “Hoedown Concerts” on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th at the NCTC Theater/Thief River Falls. The performance follows a meal, on Saturday the 18th at 6:30 pm, with Sunday’s concert beginning at 2:00 pm.

• The Summer Performing Arts Company of Grand Forks will hold auditions for “Die Fledermaus” on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00 pm at Red River High School in Grand Forks. Rehearsals start July 13th.

• The Greater Grand Forks Community Theater presents “The Boys Next Door”, at the Fire Hall Theater in downtown Grand Forks. Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, the 19th at 2:00 pm.

• Also at the Fire Hall Theater, auditions for an upcoming production, called “Dixie Swim Club” will be held on Sunday, April 19th and Monday April 20th at 7:00 pm.

• The exhibition called “Red, White and Blue: Norwegian Constitution, American Inspiration, a celebration of the bicentenary of the Norwegian Constitution, continues at the Chester Fritz Library at UND, on the second and third floors of the library. The exhibition runs through Thursday, April 23rd.

• Northland Community Band Concert – Thursday, April 16th at 7:00 pm in the NCTC Theater/Thief River Falls. Admission is five dollars at the door.

• Northland Chamber Choir and Northern Jazz “Hoedown Concerts” on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th at the NCTC Theater/Thief River Falls. Tickets available at Kezar music in TRF for 12, which includes a meal. The meal and performance on Saturday begins at 6:30 pm and on Sunday at 2:00 pm.

• The Summer Performing Arts Company (SPA) of Grand Forks will hold auditions for “Die Fledermaus” on April 19th at 2:00 pm at Red River High School in Grand Forks. Rehearsals start July 13th.

• Grand Forks Master Chorales and the UND Music Department will perform “Elijah” on Saturday, April 11th at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus in Grand Forks. Performance time is 7:30 pm.

• A “Maple Syrup Festival” will be held on Saturday, April 11th in Vergas, MN – near Fergus Falls. Scheduled is a 5K run, a Maple Syrup pancake breakfast and tree sapping for all visitors to the event.
