
Mara Hanel, Executive Director of the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC), highlights the recent “Arts Advocacy Day” at the Minnesota Legislature in St. Paul and the upcoming NWMAC Spring Art Exhibit in Roseau, MN.

Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) spokesperson Therese Jacobson talks about a current art exhibit, featuring pottery and photography, at the NWMAC Gallery and Gift Shop in downtown East Grand Forks, MN.
She also discusses Art Advocacy Day at the state capitol in St. Paul and shares information concerning the upcoming NWMAC Spring Art Show in Roseau, MN – and a project idea to raise money for local/regional artists to attend out of state camps.

Roseau County resident and Northwest Minnesota photographer Ron Woolever discusses his love of nature, photography and an upcoming display of his work at the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s (NWMAC) Gallery and Gift Shop in downtown East Grand Forks, MN. He also credits the NWMAC with supporting him through grant money, as he honed his craft of photography.

Guest Ken Carlson is the Senior Program Director for Arts Midwest. He discusses the role of the program, it’s funding, and the wide variety of performers and musicians – worldwide – who are brought to the area by Arts Midwest. Carlson also talks about the important partnerships that Arts Midwest has established with regional arts organizations, including the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council.

Jane Anderson is the Executive Director of the Thief River Falls Area Community Theater. The organization will be holding auditions for three upcoming productions and Jane talks about the audition process and the storyline behind each of the planned shows.
