The Music Room welcomes another act to our ever expanding line up for 2015/16, the Win-E-Mac Senior High School Band and Choir. This hour, enjoy the Win-E-Mac Senior High Band and Choir, directed by Amanda Shultz and Charity Salmonson. On this episode of TMR, the Northland Community and Technical College Music Department is proud to present the Autumn Musicale Band Concert 2015 featuring the Northland Community Band and Northland High School Honor Band under the direction of Linda Samuelson. The Music Room is back for the 2015/2016 Season!!! To kick off the third year of the program, the Northland Community and Technical College Music Department presents the 2015 Choral Works Choir Concert. Featured performances from the Northland Chamber Choir and the Northland High School Honor Choir, an all star group of area students conducted by Linda Samuelson with special guest conductor Vanessa Martell. Spend a lovely winter day indoors with the sounds of the Thief River Falls Lincoln High Bands under the direction of Katie Hahn. The Following was recorded December 7, 2015 at the Lincoln High School Auditorium in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

On this edition of the Music Room, the Thief River Falls Lincoln High School Choral Department present Speaking Words of Wisdom. Joining the LHS Choir are Minneapolis Gospel artists Robert Robinson, Tonia Hughes and Darnell Davis & the Remnant.

Speaking Words of Wisdom creatively incorporates various art forms including: the human voice (singing), instruments (the band), movement (dancers), poetry (student poems), visual art (hand painted banners), and graphic design (powerpoint). There will be anniversary’s remembered: The 70th Anniversary of the end of WW2 and the 70th Anniversary of the end of the Holocaust.

There will be four areas covered throughout the performance including “WAR, EVIL, VISION, AND TRIUMPH”. Each area highlighted by distinct music and words for that specific area will lead the listener on a journey. A journey that may be as individual as each song throughout the show.
