Quintet, The Litter, Fragile Zookeeper, Michael Yonkers and the Scotsmen. On the second half of the program, Carl Unbehaun shares with the listener his picks which include acts such as Gypsy, the Castaways, T.C. Atlantic, Gregory Dee & the Avanties, and the Unbelievable Uglies.

Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) spokesperson Therese Jacobson shares news of the NWMAC, including a Valentine making event for children, an exhibition of artwork by Jessica Pribula of East Grand Forks, MN – NWMAC 2014 Artist of the Year, a grant application deadline and “Arts Advocacy Day” at the state legislature in St. Paul, MN.

Glen Braget recently chatted with writer, comedian, producer and founder of Comic Relief Bob Zmuda, author of Andy Kaufman The Truth Finally. Zmuda was a close friend and partner in crime of Andy Kaufman and his new new book explores the possibility that Andy may have faked his own death and is still in hiding some 30 years after his death. The “Immigrant Interviews” DVD, sponsored by the Snorre Lodge of Sons of Norway is now available for sale. It features 15 local residents sharing the story of their ancestors who immigrated to Minnesota, and was featured on Sjoberg’s Cable TV the past six weeks.
The “Immigrant Interviews” DVD sells for $5 at Kezar Music and at the Northland Community & Technical College radio station studios, both in Thief River Falls.
Proceeds from this project will be added to the fundraising efforts of NCTC’s Pioneer 90.1 FM radio.
