“Weekly Arts Calendar”
Thursday, April 27th through Sunday, April 30th

• Saturday, April 29th – The Argyle Parks & Recreation Department presents: Crazy Keys (Dueling Pianos) Entertainment. Showtime is 8:00 pm at the American Legion in Argyle, MN.

• Thursday, April 27th through Saturday, April 29th – The Empire Theater Company presents “Blackbird” at the Empire Arts Center in downtown Grand Forks. Curtain time each evening is 7:30 pm.

• Saturday, April 29th – Neil Simon’s classic “The Odd Couple” is on stage at the Burtness Theater on the UND campus in Grand Forks. Show time is 7:30pm both Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th.

• Saturday, April 29th – The 70th Annual KEM Shrine Circus is this weekend at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. Showtime on Saturday is 2 and 7 pm and Sundays shows are 2 and 6pm.

• Sunday, April 30th – The UND University Band will perform in the Memorial Union at 3:00 pm.

• Wednesday, May 3rd – The Badger, MN High School concert will be held at the Badger gymnasium. Performance time is 7:00 pm.

• May 11th through May 17th – Norwegian Heritage Week will be observed in TRF.

On this edition of Rasslin Memories, Glen Braget welcomes back to the program Dan Murphy from Pro Wrestling Illustrated to discuss his recent book, co-authored with Pat Laprade, titled “Sisterhood of the Squared Circle: The History and Rise of Women’s Pro Wrestling”, out now from ECW Press.
Dan and Glen discuss the history of women’s pro wrestling, From the late 1800’s to the stars of today. This conversation covers the interesting characters, both and out of the ring, that played a role in a history that was full of many obstacles and outmoded ways of thinking. From Mildred Burke to Charlotte Flair, Women’s Wrestling has come a long way baby!!!
