Bluedog_Podcast.mp3 The Last Ride Blues Festival comes back to Thief River Falls’ Seven Clans Casino this Saturday (8/25). Headlining the show is the lengenday Buddy Guy. Sharing the stage is a five-piece group from Minnepolis — Bluedog. They’ve recently wrapped up recording a new album with Thief River Falls’ own Little Bobby producing. Lead vocalist Joni Buffalohead joined Mark Johnson for this interview.

Jim Northrup is an award-winning columnist,  storyteller, poet, author, performer and playwright who infuses his writing with humor and wisdom. Jim will appear at the Thief River Falls Public Library as part of Pioneer 90.1’s “Write On” speakers series, supported by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Join us Monday, August 20 at 7PM for this free event.

The program is a collaboration with members of the Minnesota Association of Songwriters, and hosted by Carl Unbehaun.  Musicians are featured in telephone and in-studio interviews.
