With the help of a NWMAC grant, Jill developed the “Gypsy Trekker Trailer” a mobile “laboratory for art creation in Northwest Minnesota!

Darcy shares details on upcoming concerts on Saturday, December 7th and Monday, December 9th at LHS, a grant they received last year from the NWMAC for a big project they were producing last May called “Breaking Down Barriers”, a CD of their work and a LHS choir documentary that premiered recently on Prairie Public television in Fargo, ND.

Chapman and UMC applied for and received a grant from the NWMAC for fiber arts equipment and an Artist Residency in Fiber Arts. She teaches art classes that stress the use of fibers and renewable products – emphasizing a philosophy of sustainability. The classes are free to the public and UMC students.

Kelsey shares details on the “Write On” writers’ program in the Roseau public school system, which involves Roseau students writing stories for the local/regional newspaper – The Roseau Times-Region News. The “Write On” program was initiated through a grant they received from the NWMAC.

Katya is on the NWMAC Board of Directors, and she shares her thoughts concerning her service on the board and the value of the NWMAC in the region. Katya mentioned upcoming openings of the NWMAC Board as well as efforts to expand equity and diversity on the board.
