Welcome Northland Students! Want to learn about broadcasting? Be on the air! Pioneer 90.1 is opening up 4 one-hour airshifts for Northland students who want to volunteer their time, energy, and enthusiasm!

8-10 Newfest Celebration & 100th Year Celebration of the Newfolden School.—Newfolden
SATURDAY EVENTS INCLUDE:
• Pancake Breakfast from 8 am to 11 am
• Newfest Parade at 11:30 am
• Fireman’s Bratfeed
• Horse-drawn wagon rides
• Live music in the band shell from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm to include the Woodpicks

SUNDAY EVENTS:
• 10:00 am Community Church Service
• 9:00 am to 1:00 pm a Sunday Brunch served by the Lions Club
9 Street Fair in downtown Grand Forks from 10 am to 10 pm – to include live music at Town Square.
10 Robby Vee and his “Rock n’ Roll Caravan Live!” 7:00pm at the Arts on Fifth Center —Stephen
**Auditions for the Northern Valley Youth Orchestra will be held from 5:30 until 8:30 pm at the Empire Arts Center in downtown Grand Forks on Sunday the 10th and at Grand Forks Central High School on Monday the 11th.**

Jerry Amiot – President of the Polk County (MN) Historical Society – talks about the recently held French Chautauqua Festival near Red Lake Falls, MN plus the upcoming “Pioneer Day” in Crookston, MN on Sunday, September 10th. Pioneer Day is an annual event and details were discussed concerning the events/demonstrations/music that are funded by the NWMAC during Pioneer Day.
