7th – Fifth Annual “Rendezvous at the Forks.” Empire Arts Center of downtown Grand Forks.
9th – The University of North Dakota “Steel Pan Ensemble” at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.
11th – The Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker” at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.
12th – “Little Women: A Musical” at the University of North Dakota Burtness Theater.
13th – “The Pines” performing at the Empire Arts Center of downtown Grand Forks – sponsored by the North Dakota Museum of Art.
13th through the 15th – “Aladdin Jr. and 10001 Arabian Nights” at the Fire Hall Theater of downtown Grand Forks.
13th through the 15th – “Steel Magnolias” on stage at Sacred Heart High School of East Grand Forks.

“Weekly Arts Calendar”
Thursday, October 29th through Sunday, November 1st

 An art exhibition called “Bubble in a Stream” continues at the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks – on the UND campus. Also at the NDMOA – “Family Day” is on Saturday, October 31st from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. The event is free for children, parents, grandparents and other care-givers create “art.” The North Dakota Museum of Art is also sponsoring an adult art class called “Folding the Circle” for four Thursday evenings, beginning October 29th.  The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s “Traveling Art Exhibit” is now on display at the Warren Public Library in Warren, MN.

 “Girls Night Out – The Musical” will be onstage at the Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks, on Thursday, November 5th. Curtain time is 7:30 pm. The Chester Fritz Auditorium is located on the University of North Dakota campus.

 A public reception honoring local photographer Dave Bruner will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at the Grand Forks City Hall. The reception is free and open to everyone from 4:30 until 6:00 pm. Mr. Bruner is the winner of the Mayor’s Choice Artists Program.

 The UND “Steel Pan Ensembles” will perform on Monday, November 9th at 8:00 pm in the Chester Fritz Auditorium. Performing on authentic oil drums, the ensemble will play calypso, and other island favorites.
