For this edition of Minnesota Music Memories Glen Braget revisits the Minneapolis funk and R&B scene of the 1970’s. On a previous MMM Glen featured selections from a wonderful compilation put out by the Secret Stash label titled Twins Cities Funk and Soul Lost R and B Grooves from Minneapolis/ St Paul 1964-1979. Since that episode another wonderful collection of Minneapolis St Paul 1970’s R and B and Funk was brought to Glen’s attention and ive decided to share some the artists whose music was included in this Two Disc set put out by the Numero Group back in late 2013. The name of this collection is Purple Snow: Forecasting the Minneapolis Sound.
For this edition of MMM
In this hour will be sets from selected acts that are featured on this Purple Snow collection like Mind Over Matter, The Lewis Connection, Alexander O’Neal, and Haze.

Host Carl Unbehaun serves up double shots of fab Minnesota music acts like Augie Garcia, the Shades, Crow, the C.A. Quintet and many more including an out of stater.
Host, Carl Unbehaun, presents a cavalcade of songs by Minnesota songwriters along with his musical musings! This show is dedicated to the keen songwriting by those who belong to the Minnesota Association of Songwriters, from Wayne (Hamilton) to Shane (Martin).
