
Jeanne O’neil and her husband Tom, met in Iowa while attending college at Iowa State University. Music brought them together and continues to provide a common thread that they share with others in their music and dance. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council provides financial support for the O’Neils as they host a “Community Dance” in early April, in East Grand Forks, MN.

The annual Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s (NWMAC) “Spring Art Exhibit” is fast approaching. NWMAC Executive Director Mara Wittman extends an invitation to the event, in Fosston, MN and she reveals that financial support remains for high school students, within the NWMAC region, for summer art camps!

Mara Wittman, Executive Director of the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC), gives an update on the events and activities of the NWMAC – to include a recent day of advocacy for the arts and its funding, at the Minnesota State Capital on March 7th.

Mara Wittman, Executive Director of the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, and a group of northwest Minnesota residents will be traveling to the state capital in St. Paul to visit with elected lawmakers, concerning funding for the NWMAC and the work it supports, produced by regional artists, groups and schools. Mara talks about the visit with House and Senate members and of a deadline for applications to assist regional high school students who wish to attend summer art camps.
