Mara Wittman, Executive Director of the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, discusses an upcoming Summer, Autumn and early Winter tour of art work throughout northwest Minnesota. The traveling exhibit consists of artworks – to include watercolors, photographs and other forms of art produced by regional artists. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council serves seven counties in northwest Minnesota.

Eighteen cash awards totaling $2,300.00 were distributed in adult and student categories and two regional residents were recognized for their artistic work and their support of the arts in NW Minnesota.

Mary Kooney is the City Clerk in Kennedy, MN. She’s also the site coordinator for this years Northwest Minnesota Art Exhibit, featuring over 100 entries of art work – generated by students and adults in a seven-county area of Northwest Minnesota. Mary discusses the event and the artwork now on display at two locations in Kennedy.
