One of the most memorable things about a concert is the opening act. Some can be great, while others can be quite the contrary. This week on Rock School, Dr. Joe Burns and Beth West focus on opening acts that don’t fit in very well with the headliner.

Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child, a weekly radio show for kids and their grownups. Spare the Rock is a family production, with Bill Childs and his kids Ella and Liam hosting and producing. Bill also has written about family music for various media outlets (including Parenting) and co-produces KindieFest, a yearly family music conference. Bill also co-coordinates the Fids & Kamily Music Awards, an annual consensus poll of the best music for families.
Tonight at 8PM on Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin:
Alec talks with Kristen Wiig – a breakout Saturday Night Live cast member who says she loves performing, but admits there’s also a “big part of me that’s just like: don’t look at me.” Alec visits talk show legend Dick Cavett at his home in Montauk, Long Island. Over iced tea, Cavett shares memories from five decades in entertainment.
