It’s a family affair on this edition of MN Arts on the Road with Warroad, MN’s finest The Lubben Brothers. The Following was recorded at the Gazebo at Floyd B Olson Park in June of 2013.
What makes the Lubben brothers unique is that three of the four siblings who make up this family group are actually triplets; Mike, who plays banjo, fiddle and vocals, Joshua who plays guitar and tin whistle as well as contributes vocals and Tom who adds fiddle, mandolin and backing vocals to the mix. They are joined by their little brother Isaac who handles the bass playing duties. These four talented young men who are only in their teens, have been playing music since they were old enough to remember and have entertained audiences throughout the north country playing traditional Americana roots music as well as the Classical stuff.
